Ashfield Angling Club Membership information for the 2012/13 season

Membership Renewals
We would like to invite you back to join Ashfield Angling Club for the 2012/13 season, please find enclosed a copy of the membership renewal form. We would like to inform all members that you now have the option to complete the membership renewal process online; this includes the option to pay for membership fees via the RBS WorldPay System. The RBS WorldPay system is fully secure and run by the Royal Bank of Scotland, Ashfield Angling Club hold no members financial records or card details on our system.

Members are reminded that all renewal applications must be with the member’s secretary before the 15^th March 2012. We would like to urge members to complete the online process and pay for membership online. Completing your membership renewal online speeds up the process and allows the members secretary keep up with the annual process of making membership cards and posting them out. If you feel that the online option would be your choice then please visit www.ashfieldangling.com and go to the member’s only area, select the Renew Membership link. If you’re not already a registered member of the site, you will need to register your membership details by selecting register in the login box. If you would still like to send a cheque payment for the membership fees then please do so. We would like you to complete the online application if possible, just leave the Payment page and return to the home page.

If for any reason you no longer wish to remain a member of Ashfield Angling Club, we would be grateful if you could return your gait key for a £10 refund. Please send keys back to the member’s secretary, you will find the address on the Ashfield Angling Club web site.

AGM
This year’s AGM is at the Bentinck miner’s welfare on the 13th May 2012, start time 10.30 am.
The agenda will appear on the Ashfield Angling Club web site and will be posted at all venues 3 weeks before the 13th May 2012.
Information change from rule book this is to allow contact time with the club.

1. Any member wishing to stand for election to the committee must obtain a proposer and seconded and have been a member for at least 2 years. The submission for election must be in writing and with the secretary no later than 1 month before the A.G.M.
2. The financial year for The Club will run from 1st March to the end of February each year. The A.G.M. must be called within 3 months after the end of the financial year.
3. A) All notification of motions and proposals for the A.G.M. must be in writing and with the General Secretary no later than 2 months before the A.G.M. and must have a proposer and seconded, both must be full members.
4. B) There will be no other official business at the A.G.M. than that which is recorded on
   the agenda produced for the meeting.

It would help with arrangements for the AGM. If you could please let us know “I will be attending this year’s AGM" yes or no? This can be achieved by completion of the Membership renewal application form found with this letter or by completing the online Membership Renewal form.

End of postal reminders
Could all members be aware that this is the last posted notice to be sent out to members, as of now all information will be posted on the clubs web site www.ashfieldangling.com or by email. To make sure you are kept informed of events and membership related information, please make sure you have provided a valid and up to date email address. Membership Renewal information can be found on the reverse of the mew style membership card being sent out for this season.
